Massey Harris Lofts – 915 King Street West

The Massey Harris Lofts is one of the most stunning authentic lofts in the King West Village (just look at the photos). It’s also quite exclusive, with only 46 suites.

Built in 1883, this red brick building was originally the Massey Harris farm equipment headquarters. The loft conversion was completed in 2003 by Canderel Stoneridge and designed by Edward James Lennox, one of Toronto’s most renown architects who is also responsible for Old City Hall. In 1973, this building was listed as a Toronto Heritage property.

Suites feature vintage brick walls, heated radiant floors, 11 foot ceilings, wood posts and beams. High end kitchens and bathrooms are by Cecconi Simone and some bathrooms were created out of the old payroll vaults, with vaulted metal ceilings.

The appeal and success of the Massey Harris Lofts is often credited as having ignited the surge of new loft projects in the King West neighbourhood.
